The death of Clifford Joseph Pitre husband of Sylvia (Richard) Pitre of Miramichi, NB, occurred at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Monday, February 9, 2015 at the age of 69. Born in Bathurst, NB, Clifford was the son of the late Clarence and Priscilla Pitre.
Clifford was a past member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 10 Newcastle.
Besides his wife Sylvia, Clifford is survived by three daughters: Renée Pineau (Dan) of Newcastle, NB, Michelle Pitre of Nelson, NB and Melissa King (Michael) of Douglastown, NB; three sisters: Yvonne Benoit (Walter) and Doris Manuel (Leonard) all of Bellefond, NB, Blanche Bjurstrom (Norman) of Red Deer, AB, three brothers: Albanie (Rita) of Montreal, PQ, Donald (Mabel) of Newcastle, NB & Omar of Barry ON; seven grandchildren: Emily, Cody, Marie, Zachery, Timothy, Mya & Mason; one great grandson: Beau and several nieces and nephews.
Clifford is predeceased by one son: Clarence and one sister: Kathleen McLaughlin.
Visitation will be held at Bell’s Funeral Home on Thursday from 2-4 PM & 7-9 PM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated from the Sterling Bell Memorial Chapel on Friday, February 13, 2015 at 11 AM with Father Paul LeBlanc officiating.
In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the Miramichi Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit, NB Extra Mural Program or Miramichi Hospice.
