The death of James E. “Jimmy” Sutherland of Exmoor, NB, husband of the late Lois Anne (Taylor) Sutherland, occurred at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Monday, March 23, 2015 at the age of78. Born in Sevogle, NB, Jimmy was the son of the late Murdock & Catherine (Mullin) Sutherland.
Jimmy was a retired Truck Driver and Heavy Equipment Operator with Atcon Construction.
Jimmy is survived by three daughters: Carla Sutherland (Ralph Mullin) of Sunny Corner, NB, Shelley of Sunny Corner, NB, Julie of Miramichi, NB; one son: Michael (Chrystal) of Grand Prairie, AB ; four sisters: Marjorie Delano of Newcastle, NB, Kathleen Quayle of Williamstown, NB, Annie Mae McGregor of Cassilis, NB, Carolyn Matthews (John) of Lyttleton, NB; three brothers: Stafford of Curventon, NB, Earl (Carolyn) and Murdock Jr. (Peggy) all of Exmoor, NB and Stanley (Patsy) of Sunny Corner, NB; four grandchildren: Marshall & Majesta Mullin, Logan Sutheralnd and Michaela Sutherland; one great granddaughter: Marlee Mullin and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by one sister: Margaret and one brother: Perley.
Visitation will be held at Meadows Funeral Home on Thursday from 2-4 PM & 7- PM. The Funeral Service will be held at the Little Southwest Baptist Church on Friday, March 27, 2015 @ 2 PM with Pastor Raymond Pitcher officiating.
Burial will take place in the Lyttleton Baptist Cemetery, Back Road, NB later in the spring.
In Jimmy’s memory a donation may be made to the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation.
