Mr. Donald Joseph Mahoney, husband of Leola (Manderville) Mahoney, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Friday, May 22, 2015 at the age of 77.
Born in Chatham, NB, he was the son of the late William J. and Clara (Brown) Mahoney. He was a retired school teacher and attended St. Samuels Roman Catholic Church.
Besides his wife, Leola, he is survived by his daughter, Wendy Clement of Quesnel, BC; his son, Scott of Halifax; his sisters, Connie Bourque (Rheal) of Bathurst, Carmel Clark of Miramichi and Bernice Ginnish of Eel Ground; and his 6 grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents; sisters, Monica and Katherine and his brothers, Bennie, Mike, Billy, Wishie and Bud.
Mr. Donald Joseph Mahoney is resting at Davidson’s Funeral Home, 597 Old King George Hwy, with visitation on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 27th, 2015 at 11 am at St. Samuels Roman Catholic Church with Father Maurice Swift officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In his memory, donations to the SPCA or a memorial of one’s choice would be appreciated.
