The death of Mrs. Margaret Rosa (Whitney) Tozer wife of the late Lorne Tozer of Whitney, NB, occurred on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at the age of 89. Born in Whitney, NB, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Rosie (Allison) Whitney. Margaret was a homemaker and member of St. Stephen’s Presbyterian Church, Sunny Corner, NB. She was also a member of the Whitney Willing Workers and the Women’s Missionary Society.
Margaret is survived by: one daughter: Debra Silliker (Paul) of Whitney, NB; two sons: Hayward (Darlene) of Miramichi, NB; Byron (Dolores) of Strathadam, NB; one sister: Myrtle Baisley (Jackson) of Brantford, ON; two brothers: Stillman (Christine) and Hubert (Alma) all of Whitney, NB; two sister in laws: Gertrude Whitney of Whitney and Elva Whitney of Thunder Bay, ON; three grandsons: Bradley (Janet), Craig (Lisa) and Bryce (Crystal); five great grandchildren: Tristan, Brynn, Braylin, Chase and Jonah and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, Margaret is predeceased by: brothers: Lawrence, Elwin, George, Wilson and Ernest and sisters: Bernetta and Margaret.
Margaret predeceased her great granddaughter, Kaitlyn who passed away in Fredericton in January 2015.
The family will receive visitors at St. Stephen’s Presbyterian Church, Sunny Corner on Saturday, June 13, 2015 from 12:30-1:45 PM followed by the funeral service at 2 PM with Rev. Vernon Tozer officiating.
Burial will take place in the Boom Road Presbyterian Cemetery.
In Margaret’s memory, donations may be made to the IWK Hospital.
