The death of Doris “Elinor” Shaddick RN wife of Clarence Shaddick of Trout Brook, NB, occurred on Friday, June 19, 2015 at the Miramichi Regional Hospital at the age of 76. Born in Chatham, NB, she was the daughter of the late Leslie and Edna (Morris) MacDonald. Elinor was a member of the Wesley United Church, Trout Brook and graduated from the Miramichi Hospital at a Registared Nurse and worked there until her retirement. She enjoyed Knitting, Cross Stitch and working on Crossword Puzzles.
Besides her husband, Elinor is survived by: two daughters: Joyce Lo (Charlie) of Halifax, NS; Karen Murphy (Jim) of Miramichi, NB; four sons: Dale (Bernice) of Matthew Settlement, NB; Greg (Alyson) of Miramichi, NB; Daryl (Valorie) of Truro, NS; Chris (Paula) of Miramichi, NB; 18 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she is predeceased by: two brothers: Harold and Keith MacDonald.
At Elinor’s request there will be no visitation. A private funeral service will be held from the Wesley United Church with Rev. John Fraser officiating. Burial will follow in the Wesley United Church Cemetery.
In Elinor’s memory, donations may be made to the Wesley United Church Cemetery.
