The death of Ruth Grace (Abbott) Porter wife of the late Warren Elwin Porter of Sunny Corner, NB occurred at her residence on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at the age of 91. Born in Beverly, Alberta. Ruth was the daughter the late William Henry and Grace Josephine (Windrum) Abbott.Ruth was a homemaker who loved to quilt, knit, sew and read. At the age of 80, Ruth decided to learn how to use her computer by going online and enjoying playing words games.Ruth is survived by three daughters: Sheila Cochrane (Lloyd) of Maugerville, NB, Valarie Howe (Edward) of Lower Derby, NB, Beverly Curtis (Donald) Sunny Corner, NB; two sons: Ralph (Leva) and Gerald (Daphne) all of Sunny Corner, NB; eight grandchildren: Jill, Richard, Wendy, Kirsten, Amy, Jeff, Kendall and Zachary; eleven great grandchildren: Dustin, Ryan, Brontë, Christopher, Mitch, Emily, Kayden, Kiah, Kieran, Darien & Kali and one niece: Diane Abbott of Sheffield England. Ruth is predeceased by one son: Leslie and one brother: Ralph Windrum Abbott.Visitation will be held a Meadows Funeral Home on Saturday from 1:45 PM to 2:45 where the Funeral Service will be held @ 3 PM with Rev. Keith Cushman officiating. Burial will follow in St. Stephen’s Presbyterian Cemetery, Boom Road, NB.In Ruth’s memory a donation may be made to St. Stephen’s Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund.
