Reynolds, Francis (Frank)It is with great sadness that our family announces the death of Francis (Frank) Martin Reynolds on August 14, 2015, peacefully at home with his family surrounding him, after living a remarkable full life.Beloved husband of Elaine and loving father of Colleen, Kerri (Karl), Kelli (Pat) and Mark (Jillian). He was a wonderful grandfather to his grandchildren Sarahann, Kaitlyn, Katrina, Keir and Drew; and step-grandchildren Sarah, Olivia, Rachel and David. Born November 11, 1942, Frank was one of ten children of Agnes (nee Smith) and Patrick Reynolds. He is survived by his sisters, Beatrice, Nora and Theresa; and his brothers, Joe, Bill, and Gerald (predeceased by sisters Mary and Eileen, and brother Clarence). A funeral service to celebrate Frank’s life will be held Wednesday, August 18 at 11 a.m at St. Michael’s Basilica, 10 Howard Street, Miramichi, with a reception to follow. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Miramichi Extra Mural Nursing Program and the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. Frank was a very caring man who will be missed for his great sense of humour, storytelling and commitment to his friends and family. He served 22 years in the Canadian Armed Forces at CFB Gagetown, CFB Lahr, CFB Kingston and as part of United Nations peacekeeping in the Gaza Strip. After his military retirement, he was employed with the former District 16 School Board at James M. Hill High School. His favourite moments were spending time with family and taking long walks or bike rides along the river. He was always ready to lend a hand to neighbours and friends, and he loved fishing, hunting and golfing.Much gratitude for his care from longtime friend Dr. Bill MacGillvary. We are also grateful for the excellent care and kindness given by the the Extra Mural Nursing care team. How lucky we were to have you in our lives.
