Anna Dorothy Power, widow of the late Thomas Power, of Wellington Street in Miramichi passed away peacefully at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at the age of 94. Anna was born on March 9, 1921 in Upper Napan, N.B., the daughter of the late Courtney and Mary (Cripps) Phee. She was a homemaker and employed by T. Eaton Company in Moncton, Canadian Tire and W. S. Loggie Co. in Miramichi. She attended St. Michael’s Basilica, Miramichi.Anna is survived by her daughter Mary (Vern) Derry of Miramichi, her sons Michael (Kathy) Connell of Miramichi and Wayne (Karen) Power of Rothesay, her stepson James (Cheryl) Power of Shediac , her daughter in law Maureen Connell of Miramichi and brother Edward (Kay) Phee of Miramichi and many nieces and nephews. She was also affectionally known as Grandma to 14 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.She was predeceased by her first husband John Connell; her sisters Mona Flynn, Mae Flanagan, Carmel Kennedy, Jean McDonald and Helen Sullivan; her brothers Hollie, Jackie and Courtney Phee; her son Jack Connell and grandson Kevin Connell.Mass of Christian buried will be celebrated on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 11:00 AM at St. Michael’s Basilica with Father John Fraser officiating. Burial to follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to a charity of the donors choice would be appreciated by the family.
