Miramichi –  Edna Marguerite MacLean, widow of the late Guy A. MacLean, of the Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home, Miramichi and formerly of Bay du Vin and Florida, passed away at her residence on Thursday morning, September 10, 2015, at the age of 94.

Born in Hardwicke, on December 26, 1920, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary (Dutcher) Chapman.  She was a homemaker and a member of St. Stephen’s United Church, Black River Bridge and a former member of St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, Bay du Vin.  She was a member of the Black River Senior Citizens Club.

She is survived by four daughters, Marg Gagnon (Bob), of Etobicoke, Ont., Mary Evans, of Etobioke, Ont., Kay Maine (Barry), of Winter Springs, Fl., USA, Arlene MacDonald (Ted), of Frankford, Ont.; one son, John MacLean (Kathy), of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fl., USA; six grandchildren, Brian Gagnon, Sean Evans, Brent Gagnon, Scott Maine, Stacy MacLean, Caitlin MacDonald; as well as several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her husband, Guy, in 1997; one infant daughter; one son in law, Ralph Evans; one brother, John Chapman; two sisters, Evelyn Stevens and Bessie Adams.  She is the last remaining member of her immediate family.

Visiting will be at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., on Friday, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.  Funeral service will be held from St. Stephen’s United Church, Black River Bridge, on Saturday, September 12, 2015, at 11 am, conducted by Rev. Charlene Maguire MacKnight.  Interment will be in the Black River Community Cemetery.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home, Cdn. Diabetes Foundation or the Cdn.
