The death of Thelma Doreen Matchett widow of Ervine Matchett of Sunny Corner, NB, occurred her residence on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at the age of 83. Born in Boom Road, NB, Thelma was the daughter of the Stillman & Angeline (McDonald) Allison. Thelma was a homemaker and belonged to the Quilting Women’s Group.Thelma is survived by three daughters: Selly Dawson (Kevin) of Strathadam, NB, Shelley Matchett at home, and Kathy Price (Roger) of Sunny Corner, NB; one son: Robert Kenny (Lois) of Millerton, NB; eight sisters: Dorothea Nowlan , Grace Carleton (Court) and Leva Porter (Ralph) all of Sunny Corner, NB, Helen Waye and Della Hunt (Barry) all of Miramchi NB, Kitty McAllister (Gerald), Betty Brown (Jack) and Treva Melvin all of Thunder Bay, ON; two brothers: Theodore (Lois) of Sunny Corner, NB and Glenford (Carol) of Thunder Bay, ON; nine grandchildren: Bradley, Michael, Kristy, William, Kenneth, Kathleen, Paige, Chris, Jael and Jaron. 12 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.Thelma is predeceased by one son: Arthur Kenny; infant daughter: Rhonda Matchett; one sister: Shirley Smallwood; one brother Merton and one infant brother: Arnott.Visitation will be held at Meadows Funeral Home on Friday from 2-4 PM & 7-9 PM. Funeral Service will be held from St. Stephen’s United Church, Red Bank, NB on Saturday, October 17, 2015 @ 11 AM with Rev. John Fraser officiating. Burial will follow in St. Stephen’s Presbyterian Cemetery, Boom Road, NB.In Thelma’s memory a donation may be made to the NB Extra Mural Program.Funeral arrangements are under the care of Meadows Funeral Home. 150 Northwest Raod, Sunny Corner, NB Telephone : 622-3600.
