Leo Thibodeau1925-2015Leo Anthony Thibodeau, husband of the late Florence (McLean) Thibodeau of the Veteran’s Wing of the Miramichi Senior Citizens’ Home, formerly of Newcastle, NB, passed away on Saturday, October 24th at the age of 89. Born in Brantville, NB, Leo was the son of the late Basil and Mary (Galliah) Thibodeau. Leo was a retired assistant manager with the New Brunswick Liquor Corporation. He was also a veteran of World War II.Leo is survived by three daughters: Karen Gilson of Edmonton, AB, Mary Ellen Thibodeau of Edmonton, AB and Marlyn (David) Krygsveld of Miramichi, NB; one son: Van Walsh of Douglasfield, NB; 5 grandchildren; Heather Russell, Cindy (David) Milton, Tammy Perrin and Lori & Robert Gilson; five great-grandchildren: Sean Russell, Carly Russell, Bradley Perrin and Breanna & Cameron Milton and several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife, Florence, Leo is predeceased by one son: Leon; four sisters: Agatha, Hilary, Elizabeth and Helen and three brothers: Leonard, Neil and John.Visitation will be held at Bell’s Funeral Home, 651 King George Highway, Miramichi, NB on Tuesday, October 27th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 28th at the Sterling Bell Memorial Memorial Chapel, 651 King George Highway, Miramichi, NB at 10:30 AM with Father Tom Fowler officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church Cemetery.In Leo’s memory, as expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to a memorial of one’s choice.
