The death of Mary Bertha (Vye) Collins of South Nelson, NB, widow of Cecil Collins, occurred at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Monday, November 2, 2015 at the age of 82. Born in Sunnyside, Restigouche County, NB, Mary was the daughter of the late James A. and Catherine (Doyle) Vye.Mary was a homemaker and attended St Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church.Mary is survived by four daughters: Bernice Savoie and Harriet Anderson (Howard) all of Miramichi, NB, Margaret Anne Manderville (Ricky) of White Rapids, NB and Wanda O’Neill (Jerry) of Chelmsford, NB; one son Rick of Miramichi, NB; one sister: Margaret Saunders of Chelmsford, NB ; fifteen grandchildren, several great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.Mary is predeceased by one son Donald; one sister: Mildred Girouard and two brothers: Thomas and William.Visitation will be held at Bell’s Funeral Home on Wednesday from 7-9 PM. Funeral Service will be held from the Sterling Bell Memorial Chapel on Thursday, November 5, 2015 @ 10 AM with Father Arnie Hachey officiating with burial to follow in St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Cemetery.In Mary’s memory a donation may be made to the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation or the NB Lung Association.Funeral arrangements are under the care of Bell’s Funeral Home, 651 King George Highway, Miramichi NB Telephone 622-3600.
