The death of James “Jimmy” Francis Simpson of Miramichi, NB, occurred at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Sunday, November 30, 2014 at the age of 77. Born in Miramichi, NB, Jimmy was the son of the late J. Andrew & Frances (McEwen) Simpson.
Jimmy had a special relationship with the Staff and Friends of Tim Horton’s.
Jimmy is survived by two daughters: Kathleen Matchett (Stephen Mersereau) of New Maryland, NB and Elaine Bell (Kevin Hannay) of Riverview, NB; one sister: Elaine Vye of Montreal, PQ and two grandchildren: Ryan & Madison Bell and several nieces and nephews.
Jimmy is predeceased by one sister: Dawn Sullivan.
The family will receive visitors at Bell’s Home on Thursday evening 7-9 PM only. Funeral Service will be held from the Sterling Bell Memorial Chapel on Friday, December 5, 2014 @ 2 PM with Rev. John Fraser officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mark’s United Church Cemetery, Douglastown, NB.
In Jimmy’s memory a donation may be made to the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Epilepsy Foundation.
