The death of Levi Allen Cortes husband of Lorraine (McGraw) Cortes of Williamstown, NB, occurred on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at the Miramichi Regional Hospital at the age of 75. Born in Williamstown, NB, he was the son of the late Joseph and Muriel (Shaw) Cortes. Levi was a farmer and woodsmen and also worked at Newcastle Lumber. He is a member of the Williamstown United Church.
Besides his wife, Levi is survived by: two daughters: Joanne Craik (George Green) of Plaster Rock, NB; Lucy Cortes (Danny) of Fredericton, NB; one son: Peter (Ida Hachey) of Williamstown, NB; three grandchildren: Freddie & Robert Craik and Laura Cortes; two great grandchildren: Conner & Athena and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Levi is predeceased by: two brothers: Joseph & George Cortes.
The family will receive visitors at Bell’s Funeral Home on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The Funeral Service will be held from the Sterling Bell Memorial Chapel on Monday, April 27, 2015 @ 2 PM with Wendell Gregan officiating. Burial will take place in the Williamstown United Church Cemetery.
In Levi’s memory, donations may be made to a memorial of one’s choice.
