The death of Perley Joseph Ramsay husband of Valeda (Godin) Ramsay of Chatham Head, NB, occurred at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Friday, July 31, 2015 at the age of 86. Born in Rogersville, NB, Perley was the son of the late Wilfred and Alma (Richard) Ramsay. Perley was retired from Acadia Pulp & Paper Mill and loved to fish, drive his motor cycle and play the spoons at various functions.Beside s his wife Valeda, Perley is survived by four daughters: Diane Butler (Kenny), Gail Hamilton (Don), Joyce Bryenton, Joanne Hawkyard (Paul); four sons: Brian, Freddie (Shelly), Randy and Blair all of the Miramcihi, NB ; one sister: Mary Buckley of Milton, ON; one brother: Albert of Miramichi, NB; eleven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Perley is predeceased by one infant sister, one sister: Rosie Ramsay and one brother: Fred.Visitation will be held at Bell’s Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2-4 PM & 7-9 PM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated from the Sterling Bell Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 @ 11 AM with Father Tom Fowler officiating.In Perley’s memory a donation may be made to the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation.Funeral arrangements are under the care of Bell’s Funeral Home, 651 King George Highway, Miramichi,NB: Telephone 622-3600
