Louisa (Collins) McKay of Creaghan Street, Miramichi NB, formerly of Millerton passed away Thursday October 8, 2015 at Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 97. Born in England, she was the daughter of the late John James and Elizabeth (Naseby) Collins. She was a homemaker and a member of the Anglican Church. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. After service in the Auxiliary Territorial Service of the British Army she came to Canada in 1945 as a war bride.She will be missed her four sons and one daughter; David (Christine) McKay of South Esk, Bob (Margaret) McKay of Miramichi, Terry (Debbie) McKay of Miramichi, Linda (Luke) Gillard of Toronto and Ken McKay of Miramichi, ten grandchildren, two step grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, five step great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was predeceased by three brothers, James, Ernest and William and five sisters Lucy, Kate, Annie, Lydia and Bella.At the request of the family there will be no visitation. The Funeral Service will be held Wednesday October 14, at 1 p.m. at Davidson’s Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Michael O’Hara officiating.
