Dorothy Minnie King, wife of John A. King, of Duke St., Miramichi, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Monday, October 20, 2014, at the age of 89.
Born in Black River Bridge, on June 29, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Robert A. and Annie E. (Fallon) Godfrey. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Andrews United Church, Miramichi.
She is survived by her husband, John A. (Jack) King; two sisters, Jessie Ramsay (Erving), of Miramichi and Bonnie Godfrey, of Trenton, Ont.; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one son, John Robert King; three brothers, Ernest, Robert and Gordon Godfrey; one sister, Nellie Mironchuck.
By her request there will be no visitation at the funeral home.
The public are invited to attend a memorial service to be held from Adams Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, October 25, 2014, at 3 pm, conducted by Wendell Gregan. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Miramichi.
