Mr. Jack MacKnight, husband of Maureen MacKnight, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at the age of 85.Born in Oak Point, NB, he was the son of the late Albert and Helen (Dutcher) MacKnight. He was a Construction worker and a fisherman. He also was a member of the Presbyterian Church.Besides his wife Maureen he is survived by three daughters Debbie MacKnight-Trailin of Calgary, AB; Lisa Byrne of Saint John, NB and Tracey Murphy of Toronto, Ontario; three grandchildren Kristen Byrne, Matthew Byrne and Bella Murphy.Mr. John Howard MacKnight is resting at Davidson’s Funeral Home, 597 Old King George Hwy, with visitation on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9. With sad hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Theresa “Terry” Hynes who left us from home on October 11, 2015 after a long courageous battle with pancreatic cancer at the age of 69.She will be forever loved and missed by her husband Edward; her children Joanne (Gordon) Graham, Bobbie (John) Baxter and John (Marlene) Bourke; her grandchildren, Dennis and Katie Graham, Jesse and Jenna Baxter, and Ashley and Julia Bourke; and her sister Cathy Petruniak and nephews Michael (Amanda) and Andrew (Carolyn). She will also be remembered by her step-children Dean (Amanda), Katrina (Pete) and Kynan (Morgan); their children Travis, Jessica, Neveah, Darius, Payton and Ryan; her beloved in laws Marion (Gus) Gillis, Jerry (Theresa) Hynes, Della (Mike) Harris, Winnie (Keith) White, Evelyn (Roger) Hynes, Brian (Sandra) Hynes; their extended families and many wonderful friends.Terry was predeceased by her first husband Roy Bourke and brother-in-law Ihor Petruniak.She was a great example of spirit, strength, love and generosity. Although her passing leaves a large void we are very grateful for the extra time, love and joy she brought into our lives.It is with much appreciation that family wishes to acknowledge the outstanding care received at the Shuswap Lake General Hospital, particularly the oncology and pharmacy staff.Her memorial service was held on Friday October 16, 2015 at 3 pm in the Mountainside Room at Bowers Funeral Home, Salmon Arm, BC.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Roman Catholic Church.Besides her husband James, she is survived by three daughters; Laura Donovan of Renous, Geneiveve Beek (Billy) of Storey town and Suzanne Vanryn (Bill) of Toronto, one son; Vincent Pitre (Donna) of Lockstead, two sisters; Orella Beek (Vincent) of Doaktown and Laurice Finley of Oromocto, one brother; Edward Tucker (Murial) of Hamilton ON, 12 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was predeceased by one brother Edmond and one son-in-law Nick.At the request of the family there will be no visitation. Miramichi – Catherine Marie Tremblay, widow of the late Joseph Rene Tremblay, of the Miramichi Senior Citizens Home, passed away at her residence on Wednesday evening, October 14, 2015, at the age of 94.

Born in Renous, on March 10, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Everett and Julia (Murphy) Hayes.  She was a homemaker; a hairdresser by profession and attended Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, Miramichi.

She is survived by one daughter, Julia Connell (Paul), of Miramichi; two step daughters, Suzanne White (Al) and Margaret Fullerton (Gary), all of Fredericton; one grandson, Tanner Connell, of Montreal; two step grandsons, Keith Dignam and Kevin Dignam, all of Fredericton; three step great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her husband, Rene; one son, Edward; one daughter, Ellen; one sister, Mary Roy; two brothers, Joseph and Patrick Hayes.

By request there was no visiting at the funeral home.  A public Memorial Mass was celebrated from Adams Funeral Home Chapel, on Monday, October 19, 2015, at 11 am, conducted by Father Paul LeBlanc.  Interment was in the family lot at St. Marys Roman Catholic Cemetery, Miramichi.

Geraldine “Gerry” (Tucker) Hayes1930-2015Geraldine “Gerry” (Tucker) Hayes, wife of the late George Hayes of Renous, NB, passed away on Friday, October 23, 2015 at the Miramichi Regional hospital at the age of 85. Born in Renous, NB, she was the daughter of the late Sherman and Margaret (Ross) Tucker. Gerry was a homemaker and a member of the Renous Senior Citizens’ Card Club. She was also a past member of St. Bridget’s CWL.Gerry is survived by four daughters: Ruth Hayes of Fredericton, NB, Susan (Henry) Murphy of Moncton, NB, Kathy Flieger of Miramichi, NB, and Colleen Hayes of Renous, NB; three sons: Jimmy Hayes of Fredericton, NB, Michael (Brenda) Hayes of Edson, AB and David Hayes of Saint John, NB; eighteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, George (2009), Gerry is predeceased by her son: Paul Hayes (2000); and one brother: Sterling Tucker (2001).Visitation will be held at the Father Murdoch Memorial Room, St. Bridget’s Roman Catholic Church, Renous on Saturday, October 24th from 7-9 PM and on Sunday, October 25th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM . Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 26th at St. Bridget’s Roman Catholic Church at 11 AM with Monsignor Joseph Woods officiating. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Erving William Ramsay husband of Jessie (Godfrey) Ramsay of Miramichi, NB, who passed away peacefully at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at the age 87. Born in Newcastle, NB, Erving was the son of the late Benjamin and Claire (Robichaud) Ramsay.Erving was a retired military member who received the Order of Military Merit for the 36 years of outstanding service that he gave his country. He then turned his talents to serving his community and church in many capacities. Erving was a very devoted husband, dad and gramps. Many special memories were made boating down the Miramichi River with family and friends. Erving is survived by two daughters: Heather Rousselle (Stan ) of Miramichi, NB, Holly Rye (Bill) of Halifax, NS; three sons: Wayne (Sally) of Australia, Bruce and Tim both of Halifax, NS; two sisters: Hazel (Dee Dee) Sutherland and Iona (Nonie) both of Victoria, BC; two brothers: Oland of Chatham, NB and Gerald (Tillie) of Moncton, NB; 13 grandchildren: Jan, Mark, Sarah, Benjamin, Sebastin, Matthew, Jessica, Leah, Jennifer, Shannon, Scott, Kaela ,McKenzie, Nicholas and 8 great grandchildren.Erving is predeceased by four sisters: Millie Underhill, Rita Dolan, Julia English, Ovilda Muzzerall and infant sister and two brothers: Norman and Byron (Bysie)Visitation will be held at Bell’s Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9. Charlie Hachey 65, of Miramichi passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Friday October 23, 2015. He was married to Aurella (Daigle) Hachey. Born in Nelson on May 19, 1950, he was the son of the late Amedée and the late Catherine (Benoit) Hachey. Charlie worked as a Tie-up and Wet-lap operator at UPM Miramichi for over 35 years. He will be sadly missed by his wife Aurella, his three children; Monique Ritchie (Roland) and Marc both of Miramichi, Jean-Charles (Dawn) of Keswick Ridge, and three grandchildren; Owen, Roland and Nate. He also leaves to mourn one sister Doris Harris of Moncton and six brothers; Ernest, Larry (Merina), Steven (Lorette) of Miramichi, Leon (Lori-Ann) of Tabusintac, David (Brenda) of Chipman, Kenney (Mona) of Red Deer, AB, and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by three brothers; Allan, Leo, Francis and two sisters; Leaha and Irène. At the family’s request there will be no visitation at the funeral home. Funeral Mass will take place at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, Miramichi on Tuesday October 27, 2015 at 4:00 pm with interment in the Saint-Patrick Cemetery in Nelson.
