It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Jane Hickey, 59, of Miramichi, NB, who passed away peacefully at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Tuesday October 20, 2015.

Born in Chatham, NB, the daughter of the late Charles & Marie (McMahon) White, Mary Jane was a loving wife, mother and nanny who spent her entire life devoted to her family. She spent endless hours working with seniors at the Miramichi Senior Citizens Home, the Alzheimer’s Society and with Healthy Active Living.

Mary Jane is survived by her husband Scott Hickey, children: Dana Dickson (Jason), Todd Hickey (Kathryn Allain), and Tina Walsh (Chris), and by her four grandchildren: Logan, Madi, Alex and Ava.

She is also survived by her brothers: George (Theresa) of Miramichi, Percy (Rita) of Bathurst, Brent (Valerie) of Calgary, and Carl of Miramichi, sisters: Ruby (Terry) of Miramichi, Connie of Toronto and Emilie (Reno) of Lagacéville, and many nieces and nephews.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Roman Catholic Church.Besides her husband James, she is survived by three daughters; Laura Donovan of Renous, Geneiveve Beek (Billy) of Storey town and Suzanne Vanryn (Bill) of Toronto, one son; Vincent Pitre (Donna) of Lockstead, two sisters; Orella Beek (Vincent) of Doaktown and Laurice Finley of Oromocto, one brother; Edward Tucker (Murial) of Hamilton ON, 12 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren. Miramichi – Catherine Marie Tremblay, widow of the late Joseph Rene Tremblay, of the Miramichi Senior Citizens Home, passed away at her residence on Wednesday evening, October 14, 2015, at the age of 94.

Born in Renous, on March 10, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Everett and Julia (Murphy) Hayes.  She was a homemaker; a hairdresser by profession and attended Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, Miramichi.

She is survived by one daughter, Julia Connell (Paul), of Miramichi; two step daughters, Suzanne White (Al) and Margaret Fullerton (Gary), all of Fredericton; one grandson, Tanner Connell, of Montreal; two step grandsons, Keith Dignam and Kevin Dignam, all of Fredericton; three step great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her husband, Rene; one son, Edward; one daughter, Ellen; one sister, Mary Roy; two brothers, Joseph and Patrick Hayes.

By request there was no visiting at the funeral home.  A public Memorial Mass was celebrated from Adams Funeral Home Chapel, on Monday, October 19, 2015, at 11 am, conducted by Father Paul LeBlanc.  Interment was in the family lot at St. Marys Roman Catholic Cemetery, Miramichi.

Born in Renous, NB, she was the daughter of the late Sherman and Margaret (Ross) Tucker. Gerry was a homemaker and a member of the Renous Senior Citizens’ Card Club. Charlie Hachey 65, of Miramichi passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Friday October 23, 2015. He was married to Aurella (Daigle) Hachey. Born in Nelson on May 19, 1950, he was the son of the late Amedée and the late Catherine (Benoit) Hachey. Charlie worked as a Tie-up and Wet-lap operator at UPM Miramichi for over 35 years. He will be sadly missed by his wife Aurella, his three children; Monique Ritchie (Roland) and Marc both of Miramichi, Jean-Charles (Dawn) of Keswick Ridge, and three grandchildren; Owen, Roland and Nate. He also leaves to mourn one sister Doris Harris of Moncton and six brothers; Ernest, Larry (Merina), Steven (Lorette) of Miramichi, Leon (Lori-Ann) of Tabusintac, David (Brenda) of Chipman, Kenney (Mona) of Red Deer, AB, and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by three brothers; Allan, Leo, Francis and two sisters; Leaha and Irène. At the family’s request there will be no visitation at the funeral home. Funeral Mass will take place at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, Miramichi on Tuesday October 27, 2015 at 4:00 pm with interment in the Saint-Patrick Cemetery in Nelson. Miramichi- Raymond Cecil Murdock, husband of the late Cheryl Murdock, of the Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home and formerly of Wellington St., passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Saturday evening, October 31, 2015, at the age of 76.

Born in Black River Bridge, on June 1, 1939, he was the son of the late Cecil and Jean (McGraw) Murdock. He was a painter and drywall finisher by profession. He was an adherent of Knox United Church, Miramichi.

He is survived by two daughters, Linda Murdock and Kimberly (Paul Robichaud), all of Miramichi; two sons, Randy Murdock and Jason Murdock, both of Miramichi; one daughter in law, Patricia Murdock, of Dartmouth, N.S.; seven grandchildren, Daniel, Alexa, Macklin, Kathrynne, Bailey, Cameron, Nathan; one brother in law, Dallas Williston; one sister, Marie Dutcher, of Miramichi; two brothers, Bryden Murdock, of Miramichi and Winfield Murdock (Eva), of Black River Bridge; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Cheryl, in 2005; one son, John Murdock; three infant daughters; one sister, Mildred Williston; one brother, Leonard Murdock.

Miramichi –   Doris Annie Quinn, widow of the late Edward J. Quinn and mother of Ann Knowles and Lillian Moar, of the Miramichi Senior Citizens Home and formerly of Loggieville, passed away at the Miramichi Senior Citizens Home on Monday, November 2, 2015, at the age of 95.

Born in Loggieville, on November 5, 1919, she was the daughter of the late George and Elizabeth M. (Lockerbie) Good.  She was a homemaker; a former employee of A & R Loggie Co. Ltd., in Loggieville; a member of St. Andrews United Church, Miramichi; a life member of the Maude Jardine Unit of the U.C.W.; a member of the Golden Circle Senior Citizens Club.

She is survived by two daughters, Ann Knowles (John) and Lillian Moar (Raymond), all of Miramichi; one chosen daughter, Wanda McCray (Raymond), of South Esk; seven grandchildren, Eddie, Kyle (Monique), Timothy, Jennifer, Kenneth; two step grandchildren, Mike and Bob; two great grandchildren, Macy and Greyson Moar.  She was predeceased by her husband, Edward, in 1999; one grand daughter Katie Knowles; one step son, William Quinn; one sister, Myrtle Bremner; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Rita Babineau1926-2015Rita Doris Marie (Fournier) Babineau, wife of the late Joseph Babineau of Newcastle, NB, passed away on Wednesday, November 4th, 2015 at the Miramichi Regional Hospital at the age of 89. Born in Beaverbrook, NB, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Alice (Perry) Fournier. Rita was a homemaker and a member of the Ladies Auxilliary, Royal Canadian Legion Branch #10. Rita is survived by one daughter: Patsy Anne Smith (Leo Pearce) of Dartmouth, NS; one son: Eric (Gail) Babineau of Miramichi, NB; three sisters: Rena Kenny, Theresa Fallon and Patsy Bryenton, all of Miramichi, NB; three brothers: Joe (Mae) Fournier, Ernie (Marg) Fournier and Eric (Carolyn) Fournier, all of Miramichi, NB; three grandchildren: Jason, Vanessa and Brian; one great-grandchild: Daniel and several nieces and nephews.Besides her husband, Joseph, Rita is predeceased by one daughter: Joanne; one sister: Adele Jagoe and one brother: Wilfred Fournier Jr. Visitation will be held at Bell’s Funeral Home, 651 King George Highway, Miramichi, NB on Friday, November 6th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 7th at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church at 11 A.M with Father Tom Fowler officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church Cemetery.
