Edith Margaret (MacCallum) MacIntosh1916-2015Our loving mother, Edith Margaret (MacCallum) MacIntosh, went to her heavenly home surrounded by her loving family, on Thursday, November 12, 2015, at the Tabusintac Nursing Home, in her 99th year.Born in Tabusintac on December 15, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Elizabeth (Cassidy) MacCallum. She married her husband Eric MacIntosh, in Tabusintac, in 1936. She was a homemaker and a member of Victory Worship Centre. Cecil Patrick Preston1925-2015Cecil Preston, husband of the late Florence (Vautour) Preston of the Veteran’s Wing of the Miramichi Senior Citizens’ Home, formerly of Ferry Road, NB, passed away on Saturday, November 14th at his residence at the age of 90. He was the son of the late Charles and Alice (Frost) Preston. Cecil was a retired heavy equipment operator with Kerr’s Construction. He was a past member of the Father Dixon Council, Knights of Columbus and a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #3, Chatham. Cecil was overseas in World War II as a sergeant in England, Belgium, Holland, France & Germany. Catherine (Cathy) Janet Daigle, widow of the late Peter J. Daigle, of Sweeney Lane, Miramichi, passed away at her residence on Saturday, November 14, 2015, at the age of 66, following a brief illness.

Born in Chatham, on July 13, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Dorothy G. (Callow) Lynch.  She was a homemaker and attended St. Samuels Roman Catholic Church, Miramichi.  Cathy was a talented and very gifted artist.

She is survived by one daughter, Jennifer Daigle (Terry Doherty). Of Glasgow, Scotland; one son, James Daigle (Tamara), of Alberta; one sister, Joanie Clancy, of Kelowna, B.C.; three brothers, Clem Lynch (Margaret), of Miramichi, Peter Lynch (Diane), of Lundar, Manitoba and Michael Lynch (Marjorie), of Miramichi; six grandchildren, Kieran, Brooke, Anna Marie, Ashleigh, Abby, Allie; six nieces, Judy, Debbie, Megan, Kaitlyn, Erin, Jordhan; four nephews, Michael, Shaun, Dylan, Deryck.  She was predeceased by her parents.

At her request, there will be no visitation at the funeral home.  The public are invited to attend a memorial Mass to be held from Adams Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by Father Leon Creamer, on a day and time to be announced.  Interment will be in Miramichi, N.B.

Ned was a World War II Veteran serving as a private with the North Shore Regiment, member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. # 10, Newcastle, honorary past member of the Miramichi Cruisers. Ned was also an avid card player and he was a strong fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Blue Jays.Is will be forever missed by his beloved wife Marie and his three daughters: Pauline Newman (Garfield), Dianne O’Shea (Mark), Margaret Arsenault (Danny); three sons: Barry (Stacey), Dennis (Vicky) and Patrick all of Miramichi, NB; nineteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Maher’s Funeral Home announces the death of Edith Marie MacDonald wife of the late Albert MacDonald of Lower Newcastle, passed away on Wednesday at the Miramichi Regional Hospital at the age of 92.Edith Marie MacDonald will be resting at Maher’s Funeral Home 35 University Ave on Friday from 1pm until 4pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 11am from St Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church with Fr Claude Daigle officiating. Interment will be in church cemetery. Joseph Lloyd Richard, 73, of St Andrew’s Street Miramichi, passed away on Tuesday November 17, 2015 at the Saint John Regional Hospital.Born in Miramichi, NB the son of the late Fred Jr. & Louise (Cunningham) Richard. Known by everyone as Buddy, retired from NB Power as a lineman, he loved spending time at the camp and fishing with his best friend Sonny. He loved playing a good game of cards with his family and the friends at the hall. He was a great father and loving husband who will be missed by all who knew him.Buddy is survived by his loving wife Linda (Myles) Richard who recently celebrated 50 years of marriage. Daughters: Melissa (Rene) and Pam.Sons: David (Janice) and Freddy.Granddaughters: Erika and Audrey and Grandsons: Calvin and Devin. Sisters: Joan (Denis), Theresa (Glen), Margaret-Ann (Nick).Brothers: Donnie (Colleen), Art (Dawn), Joey (Angel) and Norm and many nieces and nephews. At Buddy’s request there will be no visitation at the funeral home. A Graveside service will be held on Saturday November 21, 2015 at 1pm from St Michael’s Cemetery with Fr John Beaumaster officiating. Leo James White, husband of Linda (Matchett) White, of Millerton, passed away at his residence, on Friday, November 20, 2015, at the age of 72.Born in Blackville, he was the son of the late Cecil and Mary (Colford) White. Leo had a passion for fishing in the Miramichi River and was a member of St Bridget’s Roman Catholic Church. Kelly of Mount Saint Joseph Nursing Home, formerly of Derby, NB, passed away on Saturday, November 21st at her residence at the age of 87. She was the daughter of the late Henry and Ethel (Simms) Field. Winnifred was a homemaker, member of the Derby United Church and a member of the U.C.W.
