Darrell “Teabag” Waye1951-2015Darrell “Teabag” Waye of Wayerton, NB, passed away on Saturday, November 21st at the Miramichi Regional Hospital at the age of 64. Born in Newcastle, Darrell was the son of the late George and Irene (Waye) Rolph. Darrell was a night watchman and labourer for North Shore Construction. He was an avid washer toss player and enjoyed clogging, darts, card playing and bingo. Darrell is survived by one daughter: Crystal (Norman) Bourgeois of Dieppe, NB; one sister: Donna (Claude) Belanger of Miramichi; one brother: Richard “Ricky” Rolph of Wayerton, NB; two grandchildren and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Darrell is predeceased by one son: Raymond and one sister: Shirley Waye.Visitation will be held at Bell’s Funeral Home, 651 King George Highway, Miramichi, NB on Tuesday, November 24th from 2-4 and 6-9 PM. Funeral service will be held at the Sterling Bell Memorial Chapel on Wednesday at 11 A.M with Wendell Gregan officiating. Burial will follow in the Wesley United Church Cemetery, Trout Brook, NB. Age 81 Miramichi, NB -The Peaceful passing of Joe White occurred Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Miramichi Regional Hospital with is family by his side. Joe was born on March 28, 1934 in New Glasgow N.S. He was a son of the late James A. & Irene (Hodgkins) White of Stellarton, N.S.Joe was a machinist and a lifelong member of the Union Local 1178, Carpenters, Millwrights & Allied Trade Workers & Followed construction working in Port Hawkesbury, Yarmouth, Miramichi and other areas of Atlantic Canada. In the 60’s, in Stellarton, he worked for Clairtone and was a member of “The Classic’s”, a popular Pictou County Country band. He was a past member of the Havre Boucher Fire Department and the HB Dart League. Joe enjoyed music, traveling, swimming, a good game of cards, socializing and sharing a tale.Joe is survived by his daughter, Laurie (Kevin) Carr of Miramichi and his son, Joe G (Monica) of Fort McMurray AB. Grandchildren: Melanie (Ken Frazer) & Marley (Corey) McKay of Miramichi, Jackie (John) Parks of Elgin ON, Joseph A (Dustin) of Kamloops BC, Amy (Randy) McRae and Abby (Mike Just) both of Fort McMurray AB. Great Grandchildren Tyler, Griffen, Asher, Nola and Callie, as well as a friend Alta Harrison Petitcodiac, NB.He is also survived by his brothers Cliff of Stellarton and Jack (Emma) of Ontario, sister in laws Carolyn White, Fern White and Faith Peckham, Brother in laws Jack Olivier, Percy Oliver and Duke Coady. Besides his parents, Joe was pre deceased by his wife of 55 years, Janie Marie Oliver, sisters Pearl Cleary and Alice MacDonald, brothers Frank, Herb, Bob, Bill, Kenny, Cleary, Jim and Brent & Edward in infancy.Visitation will be held from 1-2 pm on Thursday November 26 followed by a funeral service at MacQuarries Funeral Home, 18 Acadia Avenue, Stellarton NS. He was retired from Modern Pastry Bakery and he was well known for his hobbies of Oil Paintings along with his musical interest of the mouth organ and playing the fiddle. Miramichi –   Ada Christina Taylor, of Nackawick, N.B. and formerly of Napan and Black River Bridge, passed away at Black River Bridge on Sunday, November 22, 2015, at the age of 75.

Born in Glenwood, on November 25, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Archibald and Ida (MacDonald) MacDonald.  She was a homemaker; a former employee of N.B. Power, the Nackawick Hotel as well as the Jolly Farmer; an adherent of St. Stephen’s United Church, Black River Bridge.

She is survived by two daughters, Cathy Christie (Harold) and Lori Stairs (Ernest), all of Nackawick; two brothers, Vince MacDonald (Emma), of Glenwood and Blaine MacDonald (Glenda), of Napan.  She was predeceased by three sisters, Vera Watling, Joan MacDonald and Eileen MacDonald; four brothers, Stan, Byron, Norman and Marven MacDonald.

Visiting will be Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., on Tuesday, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.  Funeral service will be held from St. Stephen’s United Church, Black River Bridge, on Wednesday, November 25, 2015, at 2:00 pm, conducted by Rev. Charlene Maguire MacKnight.  Interment will be in the Black River Community Cemetery.

IMG_0510It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved father, brother and friend.  Mark passed away Saturday Nov 21st, 2015.

Born 1957 in Trenton Ontario.  He was the son of; and predeceased by his Father William A.Corbett and Mary Geraldine Corbett (Arbuckle)

He leaves behind his Beloved Daughter Stephanie Eve Corbett, His faithful friend Yvonne Corbett both of Winnipeg Manitoba.

His siblings Margaret (Dave) Elmsdale, NS, Sharon (Robert) Dartmouth NS.; Heather (Bill) London On.; Peter (Arlene) London On.;  Kevin (Vada) Dartmouth NS.; Ramona (Roger) Brockville, ON.; Stephanie (Dale) Dartmouth, NS.

Mark graduated high school in Chatham, NB. (James M Hill Memorial High) where his natural athletic abilities showed in such sports as golf, tennis softball & Hockey.  He loved to play with his mates on the CP Rail Hockey Team “Winnipeg Thunder” in

Winnipeg, Manitoba.  He remained active in sports till the end.

Mark was employed with CP Rail in Winnipeg as a conductor for 34 years, retiring in 2012.

Mark retired to his “old stomping grounds” in Miramichi NB where he was once a past President of “Teen Town”, a term he served with pride and remembered fondly in his “Base Brat Days”.

He was an avid traveler to many exotic locals such as Thailand, Mexico, Jamaica and China.

Mark loved to welcome his many friends and family to visit him at “The Shire”.

Mark lived life to the fullest, Scuba diving, Boating, Fishing, skydiving and riding his Hyabusa.  The list of his activities was long.  Mark was always full of life and was known to always have a twinkle in his eye.  He was currently working on his certification for “Ground Search & Rescue”,as he valued all life, and wanted to help others.

Mark was passionate about love, Life and Laughter.  Rest well our sweet Marco, yours was a life well lived, and a new journey now begins.

Please toast a celebration of his life with us at sunset 4:38pm where ever you are Wednesday,November 25th.

Family and closed friends will have a sunset remembrance at his home saying farewell to our twinkling star now fixed firmly in the Heavens.

Mary Ann McKendy, age 97, has passed away on November 24, 2015 at Mount Saint Joseph Nursing Home in Miramichi, NB.

Ann was life-long resident of Chatham (Miramichi) NB. A faithful parishioner of St. Michael’s Basilica, Ann was dedicated to a life of faith and charity in her community.

She was employee of the Bank of Montreal, serving in the Chatham Branch for forty two years.

Never married, Ann dedicated herself to her work, to the service of her numerous cousins, friends, and relatives, to her parish, and to untold secret charitable endeavors.

Ann McKendy is resting at Maher’s Funeral Home Miramichi, on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St Michael’s Basilica on Thursday, November 26, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with Fr John Beaumaster officiating. Dorothy Mary (Simonson) Francis, wife of the late John Francis, of Eel Ground, passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2015, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 78.She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Jeannie (Cloud) Simonson. She worked as a custodian before her retirement and was a member of St Joachim’s Roman Catholic Church.She will be sadly missed by her four daughters Hazel Francis (Gary Woods) of Miramichi, Carmel Narvey (Bill) of Eel Ground, Florence Paul (Stevie) of Eel Ground, and Darlene Francis (Ricky) of Eel Ground; two sons Romeo (Colleen Estey), and Anthony (Valerie) both of Eel Ground; 19 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.Besides her parents and husband, Dorothy was predeceased by two sisters Rita Francis and Madeleine Ward, and one brother Wilson Simonson.The family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home, on Monday, November 30, 2015, from 7 to 9 pm, and on Tuesday, December 1, 2015, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Gordon Joseph Linehan husband of Claudette (MacKinnon) Linehan of Miramichi, NB, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Monday, November 30, 2015 at the age of 86. Born in Placentia, NL, Gordon was the son of the late George and Selina (Lannan) Linehan.Gordon was an avid outdoorsman and was always lending a helpful hand for those who needed assistant.Gordon is survived by three sons: Gordon of Edmonton, AB, Barry (Barbara) of Grand Falls, NL and Charles of Miramichi, NB; four grandchildren: Ricky, Cayley, Taylor and Erynn; two great grandchildren: Liam and Adelyne and several nieces and nephews.Gordon is predeceased by two sisters: Alma Tobin and Theresa Murowiski; two brothers: Pat & George.There will be no visitation.
